Virtually no noise except from the amp models and dead quiet when backing off the foot volume (the floorboard is a must for a band environment). Hundreds of patches available off the web. This thing was great, MIDI implementation provided as well a couple of editors/librarians available. Jumped on to the POD bandwagon with a POD 2.0. It was so bad that I ended up hanging a Boss NS-2 off of it so I could eventualy use it. believe me I tried to get the info, they said no! The real drag of the RP-2000 was the abuntant amount of white noise no matter what. The RP-2000 was not only difficult to program but Digitech wouldn't give any of the MIDI implemenation specs or an editor/librarian. All I can say about the RP-2000 is I wish I hadn't sold my RP-7. Since I didn't have a great tube amp and ran mostly direct to the board, I 'upgraded' to the RP-2000. It was difficult to program and really needed an amp as its attempts at modeling were very primative. Starting with Digitech RP-7: This thing was great with a 12AX7 tube in the preamp and great effects. I've run several multi-effects over the years. So, what have you guys and dolls tried out? What do you use? What do you think of what processors you heard? If it was $50 cheaper I'd reconsider but the Boss is a little better in my opinion. It was a really fun processor but the Boss GT-6 beats it out for the same price.
#Digitech rp200 patches series
I played a GNX-2 for a while at a Guitar Center in Chicago (As well as the Boss GT-6 and POD) It was like the RP series but with worlds better sound quality, and the RP series sound good! The GNX have GREAT phaser (I'm a phaser junkie now) and amp models that just blew me away. It's just a great petal and it was only $200!ĭigitech's GNX/Genesis series are great. It's got some great amp models and has the control over effects that I need. I'm currently using an RP300 and I must say, that thing can cook. They're inexpensive, they're packed with amp models and effects and they sound pretty good. I still would love to get one in the future but I'm not sure when I'll have the cash. More options that you can shake a stick at! The amp models were perfect, the effects were great, it was warm it was incredibly flexible, it had the amp models I'd been searching for, it was $400. The GT-6 was AMAZING! I fell in love with it immediately and fell deeper and deeper as I played with it. Sweet amp models, versatile effects, effects that I hadn't seen elsewhere. They have some GREAT multi-effects processors. It was good but I wasn't real sure I'd want to spend $300 on it. It was again, pretty sterile and brittle. It had quite good amp models and very nice, versatile effects. Also, no foot controller so I had to reach down to change anything.

Most of the effects were quite good but the FX tweak didn't do enough in my opinion.

It had three or four amp models I really liked but most were just so-so. I know people swear by them but I wasn't real thrilled. I'll start out by saying I've played a POD 2.0 (never a POD Pro) and wasn't all too impressed. I'll rant for a while then shut up and see who wants to say I'm wrong. Well, I thought I'd just start up a conversation about multi-FX.
